Wire straightening machine with rotating straightening spindle.
EMI1.1
through which the wire, as soon as it has come from the wire drawing machines, is straightened both during the return and during the return. This removes the twist, and at the same time straightening it so that it can be processed further immediately.
An embodiment is shown in the drawing. Fig. 1 is partly a longitudinal section and partly a view, Fig. 2 is a plan view and Fig. 3 is a right side view. a is the usual straightening spindle, which in its thickened part bl carries five adjustable straightening pins b for straightening the wire q. The spindle a is mounted in ball bearings a1 in a tubular housing c, which is inserted into a housing d and held therein by a cover e.
The end of a shaft t is mounted in the housing d and transmits its rotation to the straightening spindle a through gears g, h, i, k. On the shaft t there is also a cam disk l, which acts on a roller m of a double lever n adjustably mounted on a pivot n1, the free, fork-shaped end n2 of which includes a driver housing o which is connected to the adjusting spindle a by ball bearings 01. The driver housing slides on slide rails p which are inserted into the housing d.
EMI1.2
Wire q carries.
The method of operation is as follows: The straightening spindle a is rotated by means of the pinion k and the gears g, h, i from the shaft fin rotation and at the same time by the double lever n, which runs with its roller m in the cam and with the other end n2 the driver housing o includes, moved back and forth. This inevitable back and forth movement of the straightening spindle when the wire q is pulled through the straightening pins b eliminates the twist present in the undirected wire. The arrangement is made in such a way that, at the same time as the forward movement of the double lever n, the lever) 'which intermittently pulls the wire forward is advanced.
This makes it easier to pull the wire through the alignment pins b.
When the double lever n and the straightening spindle a fall, the draw-in lever 1 'remains stationary and holds the wire q with its clamping device'1 "3, which as a result frees it from the twist through the pins b over a length caused by the deflection of the lever n The straightening spindle makes about 5000 revolutions and the double lever about 550 oscillations per minute; the deflection of the latter can be changed by adjusting its pivot point n1 or adapted to the length of the wire to be drawn in.
