Drehkondensator.

Variable capacitor.
The invention relates to a variable capacitor with a set of plates to be driven in a known manner via a gear train and has the purpose of enabling easy and reliable fine adjustment to a certain readable scale value, which is of great importance in particular for radio telephony receivers.
The variable capacitors in use up to now have either a dial or a pointer connected directly to the rotor, so that a direct reading takes place on the scale. Since the rotation is only a maximum of 1800 and the size of the dial is naturally limited, only about 90 graduation marks can be applied, so that, firstly, it is impossible to give an exact numerical value, since with a sharp adjustment about degrees are used that are on the The scale can no longer be read and, secondly, considerable dexterity is required in order to actually achieve the most favorable adjustment.
Other constructions for a separate fine adjustment, through which an additional capacity can be specially adjusted, also do not fully achieve their purpose and also have the disadvantage that the point of fine adjustment corresponding to the most favorable adjustment is not fixed and therefore cannot be specified with certainty.
The present invention enables the rotor of a rotary capacitor to be set precisely to a specific numerical value by having a scale on the driving and the driven part, with the full revolutions of the rotary knob on the scale division of the scale on the driven part and the scale division on the driving part Partly arranged scale the partial turn of the knob exceeding one or more turns can be read.

Drove T. The latter is firmly connected to the rotary handle G, which is designed as a graduated disk and is subdivided from 0 to 100 in its entire circumference.
GP represents the base plate on which the capacitor is attached. GH represents the mounting plates with the stator of the capacitor.
In the zero position (turning handle G in position 00 and the dial Sauf 0) the rotor is completely rotated out of the stator. With one full turn of the rotary handle G, the rotor will only perform a partial turn, corresponding to the transmission ratio of drive T and gear Z, and the dial S will also only perform a partial turn, i.e. the graduation 1 will be at the mark. This is repeated with each full turn of the rotary handle.
With a gear ratio of 1: 13 selected for example, turning the rotor fully through 180 degrees corresponds to 6V2 revolutions of the rotary handle G, ie. s. 6 graduation lines on the dial S and 50 graduation lines on the handle G, i.e. a total of 650 graduation lines. (In the drawing, FIG. 2, the position is illustrated after movement through 600 graduation lines).
It is easy to see that two advantages are achieved with this: firstly, it is possible to read off a certain integer value for each tuning and, secondly, no particular skill is required for sharp and precise tuning, since the setting-

The choice of the transmission ratio of the drive to the gear is arbitrary and depends on the desired degree of fine adjustment. The invention is not limited to rotary handles and discs with graduations, but can also be used on pointers with a fixed dial.
