Diese Plättchen.) laufen auf der einen Ecke in einen feinen Stift 4 aus, welcher den Fersenwinkel des aufgespannten Strumpfes hält, und die entgegengesetzte Schmalseite der Plättchen 3 ist mit Nadeln 5 ausgestattet. Damit man nun den Fussteil und den Längsteil eines Sockens oder Strumpfes genau maschengerade aufspannen kann, sind mit Nadeln versehene Stege 6 und 7 vorhanden, die in seitlich am Rähmchen befestigte Schlitzleisten 8 und 9 passen.
Für den Fuss sind mehrere Schlitze 10 vorgesehen. Man kann also den Fuss je nach Grösse der Socke oder des Strumpfes in den einen oder anderen Schlitz 10 einsetzen.
Beim Aufspannen hängt man zunächst die Fersenwinkel des Strumpfes auf die Stifte 4, dann wird die Fersengrenze auf die Nadeln 5 der Plättchen 3 (s. linke Seite der Fig. 1) gehängt, und schliesslich zieht man den Fussteil über die Ferse und hängt ihn aussen auf die Randnadeln, wie aus Fig. 1, rechte Seite, ersichtlich. Hierauf zieht man den Strumpf maschengerade und hängt ihn, straff gespannt, auf die Nadeln der Leisten 8 und 9. Ausserdem wird der Strumpf auch auf die am Rähmchen sitzenden Randnadeln gehängt.
Will man Zwickel sticken, so bedient man sich eines besonderen Halters 11 mit Stift 12 zum Halten des Fersenwinkels. Dieser Halter kann entweder nach Entfernen der Stege 7 auf die Schlitzleisten 9 gesteckt werden. oder man entfernt auch die letzteren und befestigt dann den Halter mittelst der vorhandenen Schrauben (s. Fig. 5 und 6).
