Device for keeping food warm or cold.
The subject matter of the invention is a device for keeping food on plates, bowls or the like warm or cold, which is distinguished from the previously known devices by its extraordinary simplicity and cheapness. The device essentially consists of a correspondingly profiled ring made of rubber or other elastic material, which is pushed over the outer edge of two plates or the like arranged one above the other and these in their mutual
Holds position and thus closes an airtight space between them. If the lower plate is now filled with hot water, the food on the upper plate is kept warm.
In the same way, the food can be kept cold by using cold water or the like.
In the drawing, the subject matter of the invention is illustrated in two embodiments in side view with partial section. In the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 1, two plates 2, 2 are arranged one above the other, which engage with their edge in grooves of a rubber ring 3. In the lower one
Plate 2 is for example hot water. To prevent it from cooling down as much as possible, it is advisable to use the rubber ring. 3 to protrude downwards, so that an edge is formed that prevents the plate from standing up directly on the table. In the embodiment according to
Fig. 2 three plates are arranged one above the other, of which the top one serves to some extent as a lid.
This embodiment serves on the one hand to keep food warm for a long time, and on the other hand as a cooling device, since the plate 2 can also accommodate a cooling liquid or ice or all of them without any further problems
Device can be placed in cold water.
PATENT CLAIMS:
