   Die einzelnen Punkte der Dichtungsringe von geradlinig bewegten Absperrschiebern legen beim Öffnen und Schliessen auf den Sitzringen des Gehäuses Wege von sehr verschiedener Länge   zurück,   daraus erklärt sich auch ihr ungleicher Verschleiss. Man hat deshalb die Schieberplatten als reine Rundkörper ausgebildet und sie in einem Bügel so gelagert, dass sie sich in ihm frei verdrehen können ; ferner hat man die Drehung der Teller durch von aussen verstellbare Anschläge erzwungen. Derartige Hilfsmittel verteuern die Herstellung und erschweren den Betrieb. 



   Vorliegende Erfindung zeigt, wie ohne Zufügung eines einzigen Teiles durch die   Führungsflächen   selbst eine Drehung der Platten erzielt und die Abnutzung vergleichmässigt werden kann. 



   Beim Öffnen des geschlossenen Schiebers (Fig. 1) tritt der vom Bügel b umfasste Körper a auf   Führungsflächen   c über, die ungefähr in einer Ebene mit den Sitzringen liegen, deren zur Längsmittelebene des Gehäuses ungleiche Anordnung (Fig. 2) aber auf den vom Dampf nach links oder rechts gedrücken Teller a durch einseitige Reibung ein Drehmoment ausübt.    The individual points of the sealing rings of linearly moving gate valves cover paths of very different lengths when opening and closing on the seat rings of the housing, which explains their uneven wear. The slide plates were therefore designed as pure round bodies and stored in a bracket in such a way that they can rotate freely in it; Furthermore, the rotation of the plate has been forced by means of externally adjustable stops. Such aids make production more expensive and make operation more difficult.



   The present invention shows how a rotation of the plates can be achieved and the wear can be evened out without adding a single part by the guide surfaces themselves.

PATENT CLAIM: Gate valve with linearly moving closing body rotatably mounted in a bracket, which crosses onto guide surfaces when opening, characterized in that the guide surfaces are asymmetrically shaped or mounted so that the closing body is rotated due to one-sided friction on the guide surfaces.
