Support insulator, the fitting parts of which are connected to the insulator by screwing.
In the case of such insulators, which are connected to their top and base plates not by cementing but by screwing, it is important that no twisting of these parts is possible when these fittings are applied and the line parts to be attached to them.
According to the present invention, this is achieved in a simple manner in that recesses are provided in the end faces on the head and foot of the insulating body, into which the corresponding projections of the fitting parts can reach, u. zw. According to the invention, these recesses should not be designed as continuous grooves that cut through the entire end face, but only as much material is removed as with regard to the projections a (Fig. 1), which are more useful than the plates to be fixed in inserted pins are formed, is required. In this way, the outer surface of the insulator remains intact, and production is also significantly cheaper.
2 shows a particularly favorable arrangement. The depressions b are conveniently protruded from the end faces of the insulator with a cylindrical tool.
