Abstract
Un método para elaborar glufosinato, que comprende las etapas de hidrolizar una hidantoína con una enzima hidantoinasa para formar un compuesto de aminoácido de N-carbamoilo seguida de escisión de la porción de carbamoilo de dicho compuesto de aminoácido de N-carbamoilo. Reivindicación 1: Un método para elaborar glufosinato, su éster de alquilo o las sales de este caracterizado porque tienen la fórmula (3), en donde R es H o C₁-C₈alquilo, que comprende las etapas de: a) hidrolizar una hidantoína que tiene la fórmula (1), en donde R es H o C₁-C₈alquilo, mediante una enzima hidantoinasa para formar un aminoácido de N-carbamoilo que tiene la fórmula (2), en donde R es H o C₁-C₈alquilo, y b) escindir la porción de carbamoilo del aminoácido de N-carbamoilo que tiene la fórmula (2). Reivindicación 2: El método de acuerdo con la reivindicación 1, caracterizado porque la etapa de escisión b) proporciona glufosinato, su éster de alquilo o las sales de este que tiene la fórmula (3), en donde R es H o C₁-C₈alquilo, preferentemente, H o C₁-C₆alquilo, con mayor preferencia, H o C₂-C₄alquilo, incluso con mayor preferencia, etilo o butilo y, en particular, etilo. Reivindicación 4: El método de acuerdo con cualquiera de las reivindicaciones 1 a 3, caracterizado porque al menos 40%, preferentemente, al menos 50% y, en particular, al menos 70%, de la hidantoína que tiene la fórmula (1) se convierte en L-glufosinato, su éster de alquilo o las sales de este que tienen la fórmula (3a), en donde la fórmula (3a) es como se define en la reivindicación 3. Reivindicación 7: El método de acuerdo con cualquiera de las reivindicaciones 1 a 6, caracterizado porque la etapa de hidrólisis a) se realiza a un pH de 6 a 11, preferentemente, de 6,5 a 10, con mayor preferencia, de 7 a 9,5 y, en particular, de 7,5 a 9 y/o a una temperatura de 20 a 50ºC, preferentemente, de 25 a 45ºC, con mayor preferencia, de 30 a 42ºC y, en particular, de 32 a 40ºC. Reivindicación 15: Una composición caracterizada porque comprende una hidantoína que tiene la fórmula (1b), en donde R es H o C₁-C₈alquilo, un aminoácido de N-carbamoilo que tiene la fórmula (2a), en donde R es H o C₁-C₈alquilo y L-glufosinato o las sales de este. Reivindicación 16: La composición de acuerdo con la reivindicación 15, caracterizada porque la cantidad de L-glufosinato o las sales de este son de al menos 40% en peso, preferentemente, al menos 50% en peso y, en particular, al menos 70% en peso, en función de la cantidad total de la hidantoína que tiene la fórmula (1b), el aminoácido de N-carbamoilo que tiene la fórmula (2a) y L-glufosinato o las sales de este. Reivindicación 18: Un método para controlar malezas selectivamente en un área, preferentemente, caracterizado porque contiene un cultivo de semillas plantadas o cultivos que son resistentes a glufosinato, que comprende: aplicar al área una cantidad eficaz de una composición que comprende L-glufosinato o las sales de este en una proporción enantiomérica de al menos 50%, preferentemente, en un exceso enantiomérico mayor de 70%, sobre D-glufosinato o las sales de este y más de 0,01% en peso a menos de 10% en peso, en función de la cantidad total de la composición, de un aminoácido de N-carbamoilo que tiene la fórmula (2), en donde R es H o C₁-C₈alquilo.
