Abstract

Las composiciones de polietileno bimodal de alta densidad pueden lograr un mejor equilibrio entre la resistencia al agrietamiento por tensión y la procesabilidad al seleccionar los componentes de mayor y menor peso molecular de manera que (1) el componente de menor peso molecular tenga una densidad complementaria relativamente alta, que es una propiedad calculada que se muestra por la fórmula a continuación, y (2) el componente de mayor peso molecular de la composición tiene una densidad moderadamente baja y una distribución de peso molecular estrecha.
