Abstract
Las composiciones de polietileno de alta densidad bimodal pueden lograr un mejor equilibrio entre la resistencia al agrietamiento por tensión y la procesabilidad mediante la selección de los componentes de peso molecular más alto y más bajo de manera que (1) el componente de peso molecular más alto tiene una distribución de pesos moleculares por debajo de 4, (2) el componente de peso molecular más bajo tiene una densidad complementaria de al menos 0,976 g/cm³, y (3) el copolímero bimodal total tiene una distribución de pesos moleculares relativamente amplia. Esta combinación de propiedades puede proporcionar un mejor equilibrio entre la resistencia al agrietamiento por tensión y la procesabilidad.
