Abstract

Un aparato para recubrir o encapsular artículos, que comprende un tambor de pared perforada montado giratorio en una cámara envolvente y adecuado para contener y remover un lote de artículos a ser recubiertos durante el giro del tambor; un grupo dispensador con una o varias boquillas para rociar un producto de recubrimiento sobre los artículos contenidos en el tambor; al menos una entrada de un gas a la cámara a un primer lado del tambor para dirigir gas de secado limpio contra la pared perforada del tambor y al menos una salida de gas de la cámara al otro lado del tambor para extraer de la cámara gas de secado sucio que ha atravesado el tambor. El aparato comprende un sistema de cierre regulable interpuesto entre el tambor y la salida de gas de la cámara, capaz de definir un paso efectivo para el gas de secado sucio menor que el paso que ofrece la salida de gas de la cámara y además desplazado o concentrado en coincidencia con la zona de la pared del tambor que está efectivamente cubierta por el lote de artículos. Se concibe una regulación automatizada del sistema de cierre que opera, en un caso, teniendo en cuenta la posición de las boquillas dentro del tambor.
