Abstract
Se divulgan métodos para controlar plagas de plantas. En particular, se proporcionan proteínas que tienen toxicidad contra plagas de insecto de Spodoptera. También se proporcionan polinucleótidos que comprenden codones optimizados para la expresión en plantas que codifican las proteínas insecticidas. También se divulgan métodos para producir las proteínas insecticidas y métodos de uso de las proteínas insecticidas y los polinucleótidos que codifican las proteínas insecticidas de la misma, por ejemplo, en plantas transgénicas, para conferir protección frente al daño por insectos.
