Abstract
Un método para la preparación de gas de síntesis de metanol que comprende los pasos de: (a) proporcionar una primera corriente de alimentación que comprende hidrocarburos y vapor; (b) proporcionar una segunda corriente de alimentación que comprende una cantidad de dióxido de carbono para dar como resultado una relación dióxido de carbono / hidrocarburo de entre 0,1 y 0,8, preferiblemente entre 0,15 y 0,7 si la segunda corriente de alimentación se mezcla con la primera corriente; (d) introducir la primera y segunda corriente en una etapa de reformado de vapor de dos pasos que comprende una etapa de reformado de vapor y una etapa de reformado autotérmico; (e) retirar una primera corriente de gas de síntesis; (f) proporcionar una tercera corriente de alimentación que comprende hidrógeno; y (g) aplicar la primera corriente de gas de síntesis y la tercera corriente de alimentación como gas de síntesis de metanol. La presente proporciona adicionalmente un método para renovar una planta de gas de síntesis de metanol existente adecuada para realizar el método para la preparación de gas de síntesis de metanol de acuerdo con un primer aspecto de la presente.
