Abstract

Un sistema de reactor para tratar térmicamente una corriente que contiene hidrocarburos, que incluye un recipiente de contención a presión que comprende una cámara interior y un medio de transferencia de calor que convierte corriente eléctrica en calor y se coloca dentro de la cámara interior del recipiente de contención a presión, en donde el medio de transferencia de calor comprende una primera cara de extremo, una segunda cara de extremo, y canales que se extienden entre la primera cara de extremo y la segunda cara de extremo. Un proceso para tratar térmicamente una corriente que contiene hidrocarburos que incluye introducir la corriente que contiene hidrocarburos en el sistema de reactor, presurizar el recipiente de contención a presión y el medio de transferencia de calor sin calentar el recipiente de contención a presión o el medio de transferencia de calor, suministrar corriente eléctrica al medio de transferencia de calor, convertir la corriente eléctrica en calor, calentar la corriente que contiene hidrocarburos, y convertir la corriente que contiene hidrocarburos en una corriente de efluente.
