Abstract
La presente presenta un cartucho para usar como blanco de irradiación (10), donde el cartucho comprende una caja (12) y una ampolla herméticamente cerrada (14) incluida en dicha caja, donde la ampolla (14) contiene un material padre (16) que, ante la activación por el flujo de neutrones se convierte en radioisótopo donde la ampolla (14) se mantiene dentro de dicha caja (12) por medio de un material amortiguador de impacto (24). El cartucho es utilizado como blanco de irradiación (10) en un método para producir radioisótopos en un moderador (104) de un reactor nuclear de agua pesada.
