Abstract

Se divulga un método de calibración (110) para calibrar una cámara (112) de un dispositivo móvil (114) para detectar un analito en una muestra. El método comprende: a) (118) capturar al menos una imagen de al menos un objeto (116) usando la cámara (112), en donde durante dicha captura se enciende una fuente de iluminación (120) del dispositivo móvil (114); b) (122) determinar de la imagen capturada en el paso a) al menos una primera área (124) en la imagen que es afectada por la reflexión directa de la luz proveniente de la fuente de iluminación (120) y que es reflejada por el objeto (116); y c) (126) determinar al menos una segunda área (128) en la imagen que esencialmente no se superpone con la primera área (124) y retornar la segunda área (128) como un área objetivo (130) para la ubicación de un campo de prueba (132) de una tira de prueba (134) en un paso de detección subsiguiente.
