Abstract
Se describe un cable de fibra óptica blindado resistente al fuego que comprende lo siguiente: un conductor interno aislado que comprende una pieza de resistencia central, y una pluralidad de tubos de protección dispuestos alrededor de dicha pieza de resistencia central, donde cada tubo de protección contiene una pluralidad de fibras ópticas; una primera capa de mica dispuesta alrededor del conductor interno aislado; una funda interna que rodea la primera capa de mica; un blindaje de alambres metálicos que rodea la funda interna y una funda externa circundante y en contacto directo con el blindaje de alambre metálico, en el cual, una segunda capa de mica rodea la funda interna y el blindaje de alambres metálicos rodea la segunda capa de mica.
