Abstract
Se proporcionan composiciones y métodos para controlar plagas. Los métodos implican transformar organismos con una secuencia de ácido nucleico que codifica una proteína insecticida. En particular, las secuencias de ácido nucleico son útiles para preparar plantas y microorganismos que poseen actividad insecticida. Por lo tanto, se proporcionan bacterias, plantas, células vegetales, tejidos vegetales y semillas transformadas. Las composiciones son ácidos nucleicos insecticidas y proteínas de especies bacterianas. Las secuencias son útiles para la construcción de vectores de expresión para su posterior transformación en organismos de interés que incluyen plantas y sondas para el aislamiento de otros genes homólogos (o parcialmente homólogos). Reivindicación 1: Una construcción de ADN que comprende: a) un polinucleótido que codifica un polipéptido IPD103 que tiene actividad insecticida; y b) uno o más polinucleótidos seleccionados de: i) un polinucleótido que codifica un polipéptido PtIP-83 que tiene actividad insecticida; ii) un polinucleótido que codifica un polipéptido Cry1B que tiene actividad insecticida; iii) un polinucleótido que codifica un polipéptido Cry1B variante que tiene actividad insecticida; iv) un polinucleótido que codifica un polipéptido Cry1C que tiene actividad insecticida; v) un polinucleótido que codifica un polipéptido Cry1D que tiene actividad insecticida; y vi) un polinucleótido que codifica un polipéptido Cry1J que tiene actividad insecticida.
