Abstract

Método para estimar la madurez del kerógeno de una roca que contiene material orgánico mediante espectroscopia fotoelectrónica de rayos X (XPS). La presencia de cambios significativos en el espectro XPS debido a cambios en la hibridización del carbono, particularmente hibridización sp², permiten cuantificar la madurez del kerógeno por comparación con un patrón conocido.
