Abstract
Se proporciona una célula microbiana que expresa una enzima AlkB (oxidorreductasa dependiente de rubredoxina) mutante, comprendiendo la enzima AlkB mutante por lo menos una mutación puntual en la secuencia del-tipo salvaje de AlkB, donde la mutación puntual está en la posición de aminoácido V129 y/o T136 de la enzima AlkB del tipo salvaje. Se proporciona además un método para producir ácido w-hidroxicarboxílico y/o éster del mismo utilizando esta célula.
