Abstract
Un método de procesamiento combinado para la purificación de soluciones que contienen litio, comprendiendo al método las etapas de método de: a) hacer pasar una solución que contiene litio a una o más etapas de purificación para producir una solución de cloruro de litio esencialmente purificada; y b) hacer pasar la solución de cloruro de litio esencialmente purificada de la etapa a) a una etapa de electrólisis en la que se produce hidróxido de litio monohidratado, en el que la una o más etapas de purificación comprende/n cualquiera o ambas de una primera etapa de purificación, en la que la solución que contiene litio se pone en contacto con un adsorbente de titanato mediante lo cual los iones de litio son adsorbidos sobre el mismo mientras que se rechazan esencialmente todos los demás cationes, proporcionando la recuperación del litio del adsorbente una solución parcialmente purificada que contiene litio, y una segunda etapa de purificación en la que se utiliza un medio filtrante a base de grafeno para proporcionar una solución purificada adicional que contiene litio.
