Abstract

Se describen métodos y composiciones para producir una fitasa en plantas de maíz transgénicas y luego incorporar partes de las plantas de maíz transgénicas en pienso. La enzima fitasa del pienso presenta actividad en un rango amplio de pH, y tolerancia a temperaturas que con frecuencia se encuentran durante el proceso de preparación de piensos. Se proveen métodos para producir un pienso que incorporan las plantas de maíz transgénicas, partes de las mismas o fitasas derivadas de las plantas, así como también métodos para promover la liberación de fosfato inorgánico de un ácido fítico en un animal, producir una carne animal, o reducir la proporción de ingesta de un pienso por peso de carne animal por alimentación de un animal con el pienso que incorpora plantas de maíz transgénicas. Reivindicación 1: Una planta de maíz o parte de la misma que comprende uno o más polinucleótidos sintéticos que comprenden una secuencia que se selecciona del grupo que consiste en: SEQ ID Nº 42, 43, 125, 154, 156, 157, 158, 159, y 175, en donde la secuencia es un amplicón diagnóstico de un evento.
