Abstract
Se divulga un cable que tiene una armadura de resistencia a la tracción que comprende una pluralidad de elementos de resistencia a la tracción poliméricos alargados, donde al menos uno de los elementos de resistencia a la tracción poliméricos alargados comprende un haz de fibras alta resistencia a la tracción y una funda que mantiene el haz de fibras en estrecho contacto entre sí, donde los elementos de resistencia a la tracción poliméricos alargados se ubican con una pérdida de trenzado del 1,5% como máximo. También se divulga un método de fabricación de dicho cable. Dicho cable se puede emplear, por ejemplo, para aplicaciones submarinas y, en particular, para aplicaciones submarinas en aguas profundas.
