Abstract

La presente provee un producto basado en sulfato de calcio (por ejemplo, un panel de yeso) que comprende yeso y aceite de silicona. El producto puede elaborarse secando una solución acuosa que comprende yeso calcinado y aceite de silicona. El aceite de silicona se incluye en la solución acuosa en una cantidad mayor que 10% peso en peso lo cual da como resultado que el producto tenga una cantidad mayor que 8,5% peso en peso de aceite de silicona. Eso mejora la integridad estructural del panel de yeso después de la exposición a temperaturas elevadas.
