Abstract
La presente se refiere a un proceso y a un sistema para la eliminación de la expansibilidad de la escoria de acería que comprende un triturador primario (3) para la reducción de los fragmentos en función de su granulometría; un separador magnético (4) para la remoción de fragmentos metálicos superiores a una determinada granulometría (5); secador rotativo (6) para el secado de la escoria libre de fragmentos metálicos mayores; un molino impactor (11) para desagregar y fragmentar escorias mayores a una granulometría predeterminada; un clasificador (12) para la aeroclasificación y el arrastre de partículas finas y superfinas; un enfriador (17) de partículas de escoria superiores a una granulometría predeterminada por medio del intercambio de calor y la remoción de las partículas finas y superfinas no recolectadas por el molino impactor (11); un tamiz vibratorio (21) provisto de dos o mas bandejas (23, 24, y 25) con telas de dimensiones predeterminadas; separadores magnéticos de baja intensidad (26, 27 y 28) con generación de fracciones de escoria no magnética libre de hierro metálico y de monóxido de hierro y de fracciones magnéticas compuestas por hierro metálico y monóxido de hierro; y separadores magnéticos de baja intensidad (35, 36 y 37) para el reprocesamiento de las fracciones magnéticas con la generación de concentrado con alto contenido de hierro metálico y un producto con alta concentración de monóxido de hierro.
