Abstract

Un sistema y método de aplicación de pulsos periódicos de energía a una sección de un pozo, fractura(s) y/o el entorno del pozo para examinar y/o estimular por lo menos una sección del pozo, fractura(s) y/o el entorno del pozo. El sistema incluye un dispositivo del fondo del pozo que está configurado para emitir pulsos periódicos de energía a una sección del pozo. El dispositivo del fondo del pozo podría emitir diversos pulsos de energía tales como ondas de presión, ondas sísmicas y/u ondas acústicas. Unos sensores podrían determinar las propiedades de una sección del pozo y/o fractura en función de los pulsos de energía detectados dentro del pozo. Los sensores podrían estar conectados a la herramienta del fondo del pozo, podrían estar ubicados dentro del pozo y/o podrían estar ubicados en la superficie. La magnitud y/o frecuencia de los pulsos periódicos de energía podrían variarse para cambiar la estimulación y/o el examen del pozo.
