Abstract
Un medidor de electricidad para medir una cantidad de energía de acuerdo con una corriente CA primaria y una tensión de suministro de CA provistas por una red de distribución eléctrica. La señal de prueba tiene la misma frecuencia que la tensión de suministro de CA. El medidor de electricidad comprende además una unidad, de medición de consumo de energía eléctrica acoplada con el arrollamiento secundario. La unidad de medición de consumo de energía eléctrica está configurada para proveer un primer valor de prueba como una función de una corriente secundaria que circula a través del arrollamiento secundario cuando la señal de prueba se encuentra en un primer estado de modulación, proveer un segundo valor de prueba como una función de una corriente secundaria que circula a través del arrollamiento secundario cuando la señal de prueba se encuentra en un segundo estado de modulación, y determinar, en base al primer y al segundo valores de prueba, si debe generarse una señal de alerta de falla de medición.
