Abstract

Se da a conocer un proceso para la separación de etano e hidrocarburos más pesados, o de propano e hidrocarburos más pesados, a partir del gas natural, para proporcionar una corriente de gas natural rica en metano y líquidos de gas natural (NGLs) menos volátiles. Este proceso proporciona el uso de un medio adsorbente regenerable, el cual comprende un adsorbente polimérico reticulado poroso, un polímero macroporoso pirolizado, o mezclas de los mismos, en donde el proceso de adsorción / desorción es de preferencia continuo y se lleva a cabo mediante cualquier proceso térmico, de presión, o de una combinación de térmico y de presión adecuado, y es un proceso continuo. Además, este proceso comprende un paso de retroalimentación para el control del proceso del tiempo de contacto entre la corriente de alimentación de gas natural y el medio adsorbente.
