Abstract
Un aparato para gasificación y vitrificación termocatalítica por plasma en una etapa de material orgánico que comprende: un reactor generalmente con forma de embudo que tiene una sección superior y una sección inferior, dicha sección inferior comprende una primera porción mas ancha, conectada mediante una transición troncocónica con una segunda porción, más angosta, y que es adecuado para recibir un lecho catalizador, y la sección superior que tiene al menos un puerto de extracción de gas; una pluralidad de entradas para el material desde una pluralidad de direcciones ubicadas en la parte superior de la sección inferior para introducir material en la porción superior de la sección inferior; un sistema de entrada de gas dispuesto alrededor de la sección inferior para proporcionar gas a la sección inferior a través de uno o varios puertos de ingreso en la sección inferior; y una pluralidad de antorchas de plasma de arco montadas en la sección inferior para calentar el lecho catalizador y el material, junto con un método para tratamiento por plasma de biomasa.
