Abstract
Un procedimiento para detectar un vertido de hidrocarburos en un medio acuoso a partir de una pluralidad de imágenes de la superficie del medio acuoso obtenidas mediante una cámara de infrarrojos, que comprende analizar (11) una imagen de la pluralidad de imágenes; verificar (12) si en la imagen se muestra al menos una región susceptible de ser identificada como un vertido; en caso de resultado positivo, evaluar (13) si el punto que representa un vector de características multidimensional asociado a la región se encuentra dentro de una zona de referencia definida en un espacio multidimensional, siendo esta zona de referencia representativa de vectores de características multidimensionales de regiones que corresponden a vertidos reales; si se determina que el punto que representa al vector de características multidimensional se encuentra dentro de la zona de referencia multidimensional, generar (14) una señal de aviso de un vertido.
