Abstract

Un método y un aparato para la separación de los componentes minerales de una mena de cobre-molibdeno que contiene pirita por flotación. El método comprende moler la mena en presencia de carbonato de sodio en un circuito abierto para producir una lechada de mena acuosa; someter la lechada a un paso de flotación flash colectiva (10) en presencia de carbonato de sodio y sulfuro de sodio para recuperar una primera parte de los sulfuros de metal de la mena en la forma de un primer concentrado (C1); someter los residuos (T1) del paso de flotación flash colectiva (10) a un paso de molido (13) y a un paso de flotación primaria (rough) colectiva (14) para recuperar una segunda parte de los sulfuros de metal de la mena en la forma de un segundo concentrado (C3); y someter al concentrado (C1) del paso de flotación flash colectiva (10) y al concentrado (C3) del paso de flotación primaria colectiva (14) a un paso de selección (12) para separar molibdenita de los otros sulfuros de metal del concentrado.
