Abstract
La presente se refiere a un proceso para la producción de coque metalúrgico a partir de carbón de petróleo obtenido en refinerías de petróleo, mediante la carbonización en hornos de coque sin recuperación o con recuperación de calor, donde dicho proceso se basa en carbón de petróleo que se obtiene o se produce en refinerías de petróleo y que, desde el inicio, tiene un contenido volátil de 15 a 19% en peso y un contenido de ceniza de hasta el 2% en peso, y que se alimenta en forma compactada a un horno de coque del tipo sin recuperación o con recuperación de calor, para la carbonización cíclica; donde dicho horno de coque está equipado con por lo menos un quemador calentado separadamente, de modo que el espacio de calentamiento primario o el espacio de calentamiento secundario debajo de la cámara del horno de coque, o ambos, se calientan hasta una temperatura entre 1000ºC y 1550ºC, y el contenido volátil dentro del carbón de petróleo se desgasifica por completo, dentro de un período de menos de 20 horas; donde se obtiene un coque metalúrgico con una resistencia CSR de por lo menos 44% y una reactividad CRI inferior al 33%, que es adecuado para el uso como coque metalúrgico. The present also refers to a coke oven that is designed according to the type without recovery or heat recovery, and equipped with a primary heating space provided with burners that heat the primary heating space.
