Abstract

Un proceso para obtener ésteres, en particular biodiesel, usando catalizadores heterogéneos. Se provee un proceso para obtener biodiesel, en particular FAME, que es un proceso versátil y robusto. Se puede realizar en forma continua, en particular en un reactor de lecho fijo o un reactor de lechada y se puede operar en forma continua. De acuerdo con la presente, la reacción de transesterificación de trigliéridos se conduce usando un catalizador catalítico que comprende un silicato de Grupo 4 y menos del 3% en peso de Na en la presencia de al menos un compuesto ácido.
