Abstract

Un catalizador que comprende níquel y un soporte sólido de sílice, un proceso para preparar dicho catalizador y un proceso para la hidrogenación de un material graso insaturado. Según la presente se provee un catalizador que comprende níquel sobre un soporte sólido de sílice, donde dicho catalizador tiene un volumen de poro específico de al menos 0,4 ml/g y un pico de TPR máximo en el rango de 360 - 420ºC.
