Abstract
Un dispositivo oftálmico implantable con membranas flexibles llenas de fluido que provee una potencia óptica variable en forma dinámica para restaurar la pérdida de acomodación en individuos que padecen presbicia o afaquia sin partes móviles y sin reducir la cantidad de luz transmitida. Al accionar el dispositivo se cambia la curvatura de la membrana llena de fluido, lo que produce un cambio correspondiente de la potencia óptica. Por ejemplo, al presionar el borde de la membrana se logra que el centro de la membrana se abulte en una cantidad proporcional a la fuerza con que se presiona. Como alternativa, al calentar o aplicar un potencial eléctrico a la membrana se puede lograr que el líquido en la membrana experimente una transición de fase acompañada de un correspondiente cambio de volumen que provoca que la membrana se infle, para cambiar la potencia óptica del dispositivo
