Abstract
Un sistema de remoción de arenisca para tanques que necesitan la remoción de los sólidos sedimentados (por ejemplo, un tanque digestor anaeróbico). El sistema es especialmente apropiado para un tanque grande que preferentemente tiene un piso plano y el sistema funciona correctamente mientras está sumergido en un líquido. Específicamente, un mecanismo periférico accionado por cremallera y piñón acciona un eje que gira alrededor de un pivote central y rasca los sólidos sedimentados hacia la periferia del tanque donde los sólidos caen en un foso en el piso del tanque. Una válvula abre una abertura de desagüe dentro del foso y los sólidos se descargan a través de una tubería vertical hacia un tanque de sedimentación para el drenaje y eliminación de sólidos final. El sistema es compatible con el funcionamiento continuo del tanque y es útil para tanques de agitación que requieren una remoción periódica de sedimentos.
