Abstract
Pueden utilizarse un método y un aparato para incrementar la capacidad del canal de control en el sistema global para las comunicaciones moviles (GSM). En un primer método, puede aplicarse el concepto de multiples usuarios que reutilizan un segmento o los servicios de voz por canales multiusuarios adaptativos en un segmento (MUROS/VAMOS) a los segmentos de tiempo o ráfagas que transportan un canal de control dedicado independiente (SDCCH). En un segundo método, la senalizacion de control necesaria para promover la configuracion de llamadas para el tráfico de voz puede pasar a un canal de tráfico compatible con MUROS/VAMOS lo antes posible, en lugar de ser manejada mediante el SDCCH. En un tercer método, el formato de codificacion de canales de las ráfagas de senalizacion y/o las ráfagas enviadas y recibidas en los segmentos de tiempo o recursos del SDCCH o del tráfico asignadas pueden modificarse para proveer una mayor solidez de enlace y superar una penalidad intrínseca cuando se permite usar dos unidades inalámbricas de transmision/recepcion (WTRU) simultáneas en un segmento de tiempo para la senalizacion. En un cuarto método, una WTRU puede notificar a la red GSM que la WTRU es compatible con MUROS/VAMOS.
