Abstract
Una unidad inalámbrica de transmision/recepcion (WTRU) incluye una funcion de manejo de la movilidad y una funcion de multihoming. La funcion de manejo de la movilidad puede implementar el protocolo de transferencia independiente de los medios (MIH) y la funcion de multihoming puede implementar el protocolo Shim6. La funcion de multihoming puede comunicar a la funcion de manejo de la movilidad que se requieren recursos de comunicacion adicionales. En respuesta, la funcion de manejo de la movilidad puede activar una interferencia de radio inactiva. Los procedimientos de exploracion de trayecto posteriores pueden incluir la exploracion de trayectos que pueden ser establecidos en la interfaz de radio activada.
