Abstract

Un extintor de incendios portátil comprende una carcasa metálica (3) con una cámara interna (4) para alojar una carga (5) de una sustancia solida que puede transformarse, a una temperatura predeterminada, en un aerosol con propiedades de extincion de llama. Una abertura de entrega (7) pone a la cámara (4) en comunicacion con el exterior. Se suministra un accionador a cartucho explosivo (10) asociado con un mecanismo percutor (13) para disparar la reaccion de la carga extintora (5). El accionador (10) y el mecanismo percutor (13) están localizados cerca de un extremo distal (5a) de la carga (5), de forma tal de disparar la reaccion química de la carga (5) desde ese extremo.
