Abstract
Se provee un método para modificar una superficie de sustrato con funcion polimérica, inorgánica u orgánica. En una forma de realizacion, se dirige una corriente de plasma a presion atmosférica (AP) a una superficie de sustrato, lo cual conduce a laformacion de sitios activos ligados a la superficie que actuan como iniciadores de polimerizacion. Cuando se ponen en contacto con un monomero o solucion de monomero, los sitios activos facilitan la formacion de una densa disposicion de polímeros deinjertos unidos covalentemente a la superficie de sustrato. En otra forma de realizacion, un sustrato orgánico se limpia, se acondiciona en una cámara de humedad, se trata con un plasma AP y se pone en contacto con un monomero o solucion de monomeropara facilitar la formacion y el crecimiento de polímeros de injerto sobre la superficie de sustrato.
