Es un desmenuzador apto para ser utilizado en una máquina del tipo que comprende un bastidor montado sobre ruedas y se dispone vinculada a un tractor de arrastre desde donde toma su fuerza motriz, a través de una transmision cardánica, para comandar y accionar distintos recursos que ejecutan el desmenuzado del rollo y su posterior molido; donde dicho rollo de forraje o pasto es contenido con cierta holgura en el interior de una tolva abierta, apoyado por su superficie cilíndrica sobre un medio empujador inferior que se extiende sobre un piso inclinado hacia la pared de fondo de la tolva, y por un rotor transversal superior de caras facetadas que le provee al mismo rollo un movimiento giratorio de avance, que lo obliga a tomar contacto con el rodillo desmenuzador transversal portador de cuchillas de corte y desmenuzado, con la intercalacion de un conjunto de arcos limitadores de dicho avance que, montados en un mismo eje transversal inferior, conforman un peine regulador de la profundidad de corte. El rodillo desmenuzador inventado es un cuerpo cilíndrico alargado, montado transversalmente en el interior de la tolva abierta receptora del rollo, con su eje paralelo al eje de giro de dicho rollo, asociado, por sus extremos, a correspondientes mandos que le proveen un movimiento de giro a gran velocidad, el cual presenta dos tramos marginales que poseen sendas espiras helicoidales continuas orientadas hacia un tramo central que se extiende entre ambos, las cuales son portadoras de una pluralidad de cuchillas discoidales de corte que se proyectan hacia fuera, paralelas a las espiras y perpendiculares a la superficie cilíndrica del rollo que se desmenuza; en tanto que dicho tramo central, encerrado por los tramos marginales, incluye un conjunto de soportes portadores de pares de cuchillas discoidales de corte, perpendiculares a la superficie cilíndrica del rollo que se desmenuza, completándose el conjunto desmenuzador con la presencia de cuchillas triangulares raspadoras montadas en respectivos soportes y distribuidas adyacentes a las caras laterales de los mencionados arcos limitadores que integran el peine.
