Abstract

En realizaciones de la presente, una fibra optica plástica está unida a una parte distal a temperatura elevada para formar una sonda de iluminacion resistente térmicamente. La parte distal tiene una longitud corta, está hecha de un material o materiales de temperatura elevada, tiene una forma apropiada para guiar la luz en una aplicacion deseada, y puede estar revestida con un revestimiento reflector para asegurar que los rayos de luz atrapados dentro de la parte no se escapen cuando el costado de la parte esté en contacto con materiales absorbentes o de índice de refraccion elevado.
