Abstract

La presente se relaciona con un método para fabricar un material plástico a partir de una fuente proteica, caracterizado por los siguientes pasos: (i) tratar la fuente proteica con al menos un agente desnaturalizante para separar las interacciones entre las proteínas o fracciones de las mismas, y (ii) tratar la fuente proteica desnaturalizada con presión y temperatura suficientes para consolidar la fuente proteica desnaturalizada en un material plástico.
