Abstract
En un proceso para convertir metano en hidrocarburos aromáticos, una alimentacion que contiene metano se pone en contacto con un catalizador de deshidrociclacion en una zona de reaccion en condiciones efectivas para convertir al metano en hidrocarburos aromáticos. La zona de reaccion está contenida en un reactor y el reactor o un componente interno del reactor tiene por lo menos una superficie que está químicamente expuesta a la alimentacion y está formada por un material refractario que exhibe una captacion de carbono (masa de carbono absorbida por unidad de área superficial metálica expuesta) de menos de 25 g/m2 cuando se expone a la mezcla de 50% en volumen de metano y 50% en volumen de H2 a 900°C durante 168 horas.
