Abstract

Se describe un aparato para la respiración artificial para el tratamiento de pacientes que sufren de apnea del sueño obstructiva (1), con un compresor (3) para producir una atmósfera artificial con una presión terapéutica (pact), con un dispositivo regulador de presión (10) para controlar el compresor (3), y con una manguera (6) con una mascarilla (7) para conducir la atmósfera producida artificialmente por el compresor (3) a un paciente (2), caracterizado porque un control (13) para determinar continuamente una perdida de presión (Dp) a través de la resistencia de las vías respiratorias (RAW) del paciente y para un ajuste esencialmente proporcional de al curso de la presión terapéutica al curso de la pérdida de presión determinada (Dp). Un aparato para la respiración artificial para dar terapia contra la apnea del sueño durante el uso reduce considerablemente el esfuerzo de la musculatura respiratoria del paciente, hace el tratamiento más confortable y reduce los eventuales efectos secundarios del tratamiento.
