Abstract
La presente invencion se refiere a un servidor de aplicacion de transferencia independiente de medios (MIH) que facilita la integracion perfecta de redes de multiples tecnologías. El servidor de aplicacion MIH incluye una unidad de transporte de capa superior para generar una interfaz con la menos un terminal de modo dual, una unidad de transporte de capa 2 (L2) para generar una interfaz con el terminal de modo dual a través de una primera red de acceso (por ejemplo, IEEE 802.21, Ethernet, y similares), y una interfaz de protocolo de iniciacion de sesion (SIP) para generar una interfaz con el terminal de modo dual a través de una segunda red de acceso, (por ejemplo, una red de Proyecto de Tercera Generacion (3GPP). El servidor de aplicacion MIH facilita la integracion perfecta de funciones de protocolo de Internet (IP) del terminal de modo dual a través de la unidad de transporte de capa superior, facilita la integracion perfecta de las funciones IEEE 802 del terminal de modo dual a través de la unidad de transporte L2, y soporta senalizacion SIP entre el servidor de aplicacion MIH y el terminal de modo dual a través de la segunda red de acceso.
