Abstract
Se provee un método y sistema para determinar períodos de suspension temporal dentro de un dispositivo de comunicaciones configurado para comunicarse vía una red. El método incluye analizar a menos uno de dos o más campos de datos relacionados con una unidad de datos y determinar períodos de suspension temporal del dispositivo en base a los análisis. El análisis incluye determinar si los datos del canal logico de Media FLO (MCL) en particular está presente o no dentro de un canal de símbolos de informacion de encabezamiento. Si los datos de MLC no están presente, el dispositivo está suspendido temporalmente durante una cantidad de tiempo predeterminado
