Abstract

Un deposito de combustible electroquímico tiene un conjunto de membrana-electrodo (CME) que tiene una cara de cátodo y una cara de ánodo estando dispuestas entre una placa de campo de flujo de fluido de cátodo y una placa de campo de flujo de fluido de ánodo. Cada placa de campo de flujo de fluido tiene conductos de distribucion de fluido en una primera superficie que mira a la respectiva cara de cátodo o cara de ánodo del CME. Una estructura de difusion está dispuesta entre el CME y una respectiva de las placas de campo de flujo de fluido y tiene una primera cara en contacto con o adyacente a, el CME y una segunda cara en contacto con o adyacente a, la respectiva placa de campo de flujo de fluido. La estructura de difusion incluye una primera capa que tiene un primer nivel de hidrofobicidad y una segunda capa que es relativamente hidrofila comparada con la primera capa, estando la segunda capa adyacente a la respectiva placa de campo de flujo de fluido. La estructura de difusion puede tener una primera capa adyacente a la respectiva placa de campo de flujo de fluido y una segunda capa, teniendo la primera capa una permeabilidad relativamente más alta que la segunda capa, siendo la segunda capa una capa de soporte que tiene una mayor rigidez que la de la primera capa.
