Cartucho de impresión (22), caracterizado porque comprende: un cuerpo de cartucho (23) con una porción inferior (28) y una pared vertical (24); un cabezal (12) acoplado a la porción inferior (28); y un conjunto de contactos (70) con múltiples áreas de contacto (71) dispuestas en la pared vertical (24), siendo el conjunto de contactos (70) uno de por lo menos dos ordenamientos de contactos (70), cada uno de los cuales tiene un diferente patrón de localizaciones de áreas de contacto, siendo apta una porción de las áreas de contacto (71) de cada conjunto de contactos (70) para proporcionar información de identidad respecto del cartucho de impresión (22).
