Abstract
Se pueden efectuar considerables ahorros de energía recuperando calor de pellets de tereflalato de polietileno calientes que salen de un reactor de polimerización en estado sólido, y utilizando este calor para calentar pellets fríos que ingresan al cristalizador o reactor de polimerización en estado sólido. El calor puede ser transferido de pellets calientes a pellets fríos empleando un intercambiador de calor.
