Abstract
La presente se relaciona con el mejoramiento de la expresión genética en plantas. Se provee un promotor que dirige la expresión de genes estructurales u otros polinucleótidos en la zona de abscisión de una planta. Se describe la secuencia de dicho promotor y su uso en una planta transgénica que comprende dicho promotor. Reivindicación 1: Un ácido nucleico aislado, caracterizado porque comprende la SEQ ID Ns 1, o el complemento del mismo; o un fragmento, una región o elementos cis de dicho ácido nucleico; donde dicho ácido nucleico aislado es un promotor vegetal. Reivindicación 33: Una planta transgénica, caracterizada porque es elaborada con un método que comprende los pasos de: (i) introducir en el genoma de una célula vegetal una molécula de ADN que comprende un primer polinucleótido de ADN que es al menos un 90% homólogo de la SEQ ID Ns 1, o un fragmento o elemento cis del mismo, donde dicho primer polinucleótido de ADN está ligado operativamente a un segundo polinucleótido de ADN heterólogo con respecto a dicho primer polinucleótido y ligado operativamente a un polinucleótido de ADN de terminación de la transcripción 3´; y (ii) seleccionar dicha célula vegetal transgénica; y (iii) regenerar dicha célula vegetal transgénica en una planta transgénica. Reivindicación 35: El método de la cláusula 33, caracterizado porque dicho segundo polinucleótido de ADN codifica una isopentil transferasa. Reivindicación 36: El método de la cláusula 33, caracterizado porque dicha segunda molécula de ADN codifica un receptor de etileno.
